As a designer, it’s always a fun surprise when a truck drives by sporting a logo that you designed, or a direct mail piece shows up in the mailbox that you created. It’s not unheard of for my kids to hear “Look boys! Daddy designed that.” It’s also not uncommon to hear “Yeah, we know, Dad.” I recently ran into a guy wearing a design that we illustrated 5 years ago using Adobe Illustrator.
Mark sketched it on paper, scanned it, and took it into Illustrator. He drew the outline of the elements and basic color. Then Mark and I both took turns adding in more detail, shading, and color to fish, trees, water and type. A fun project to work on!
